Welcome to JarrettSloan.com. I am a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems. My specialities include database design and maintenance, web site design, and development of web-based applications. This site contains, my resume, background information and examples of my work. For the longest time I was hosting only e-mail off of this domain. Then one day the idea of designing a personal website sounded like good fun so I started work on this site. The site ended up being made with all GNU licensed software, Adobe PhotoShop or Macromedia DreamWeaver or any similar programs were never used. All coding ended up being done using Bluefish or Gedit and all graphics work was done with GIMP. There was no reason to do this, but I just wanted to see what type of site I could make with free programs, and this is what I ended up with.
Another interesting side note is that I took on the challenge to use only CSS to control the presentation of the content on this site, tables are not used anywhere within this site. Looking at the HTML!
